Band of brothers

To anyone interested enough to read about my life, I have to questions:

1. Why do you have this much free time?
2. Do you have any pizza? (I'm feeling a bit hungry)

Moving on, today I am belatedly starting this blog about the band I am in, called New Conscience. We have been together for 2 years and are only now starting to pick up speed. Unfortunately, that speed has been neutered somewhat by our A-level exams. Once over though, we will be back to playing gigs. Saturday 2nd July 2011 marks our triumphant return to the London gigging circuit at the The Hoxton Cell (333 Old Street) only to be halted by us embarking to the far reaches of Europe on the 4th, from which we shall return for a gig at The Queens Head in Brixton on Friday the 12th of August.

After this, we will FINALLY start work on recording something better than the shite we've been pumping out for the last couple of years. With school behind us, we will finally be able to focus wholeheartedly on buying recording equipment and writing new and improved songs.

For a teaser of our newer material go to www.soundcloud.com/new-conscience Although these are  not fantastic quality recordings, they are the best school students can afford whilst saving up for our outing to Europe.

Hopefully I'll continue to update this blog with information about the band and some of my other music-related outings, such as my youtube channel, which will see me creating cover videos and  "How to play" videos starting upon our return from Europe.

I already have a few videos up from 2008, but as these are so old and were made after only about a year of playing guitar, they will likely be replaced with newer versions once I start recording again.
